As a listed property, we worked within certain layout constraints but still found opportunities to enhance the home’s functionality. While we didn’t extend the house, we carefully reconfigured the primary suite to improve flow, creating a more intuitive connection between the dressing room, a new walk-in shower, and a private W/C in the ensuite. We also reinstated a sense of timeless elegance throughout, installing raised and fielded plasterwork panels, designing a bespoke decorative ceiling, and curating an extensive joinery package—including beautifully crafted dressing rooms, a new kitchen, boot and utility rooms, and custom bookshelves in the study. In the dining room, we introduced display shelves with discreet low-level storage, ensuring both beauty and practicality. One of the most striking transformations was the addition of a breathtaking cantilevered limestone staircase, paired with elegant limestone tiles featuring Nero Marquina cabochon inserts in the entrance hall—a true showstopper.
